KOPINO (KOREAN-FILIPINO): SOCIAL STUDIES ANALYSIS IN SOCIAL JUSTICE AND HUMAN RIGHTS
The Phenomenon of Kopino children, born to Korean fathers and Filipino mothers, with gaps in social justice and human rights. The community keeps moving forward with the stigma and inequitable law, starting from getting recognition, daily support, and citizenship in both countries, South Korea and the Philippines. From this thesis, the author wants to deep dive into the life of the Kopino community from a broader point of view to seek the reasons for this phenomenon that also applies not only to Kopino but also to other communities that have the same situation as Kopino. Using qualitative case studies, it compares how the Korean, Filipino, and International Organisation. This research contributes to broadening the discussion on the responsibility of social bias, family rights, and identity within globalization. It also suggests a layered approach to give support to the rights of the community by clarifying the paths of their law to gain their justice and rights.
