Communication Approaches Employed By Women Business Owners To Remain Resilient In Business During The Covid-19 Pandemic Case Study: Women Business Owners In The Anjani Program Of 2020-2023

Against the backdrop of the global health crisis, many women business owners faced unique challenges, including significant change in business orders and community access restriction enforcement during the peak of the pandemic. These factors required innovative approaches on crisis management and effective communication. Through qualitative research methods, such as in-depth interviews and case studies, this study examines how these women navigated the complexities of the pandemic, highlighting the crucial role of both internal and external communication in maintaining organizational resilience. The research reveals the importance of informal communication and trust-building within teams, as well as the interconnectedness of internal and external communication strategies. By analyzing the experiences of four women entrepreneurs across different sectors, the study provides insights into communication practices that strengthen resilience, contributing to broader goals of economic growth and gender equality. The findings also offer practical guidance for policymakers, business leaders, and support organizations seeking to promote entrepreneurship and gender equity in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment. The study is grounded in theoretical frameworks such as interpretivism and phenomenology, which inform the exploration of communication patterns, roles, and resilience. Overall, this research enhances the understanding of crisis communication and organizational resilience among women entrepreneurs, offering actionable strategies for improving communication in challenging times.
