Understanding the threat to food security crisis impacted by Ukraine-Russian war in Indonesia is research to examine the war that has been going on between Ukraine- Russia and the impact on food security, mainly to Indonesia. The Universal Human Rights Declaration stated that; regardless of what individual background is, have the right to adequate food. Hence, food insecurity mainly happened due to armed conflict. In 2022 Russia’s invasion resulted in a great loss of lives, inflicted damage to infrastructure, economic and food security disruption, and caused a humanitarian disaster. Indonesia, as a middle-income economy and developing country, felt its own impact from the war. President Jokowi has made communication with both countries, as an attempt to not worsen the already food shortages around the world. The research approach that is used, is qualitative by using analytical methods from the data collection techniques in the form of interviews with credible people that relates to the topic as the primary data, newspaper articles, frameworks and journals as secondary data. This research using the Keynesian Economics as a view of recent global market, and Collaboration in Communication theory by Jason Colbry. The results of the research found that Indonesia is one of the main importers from Ukraine and Russia for staple food and fertilizer, and raw materials for agriculture as the conflict impacted the increases in basic commodity prices. Researchers concluded from the study that it is important to read and educate from the war issues, and the impact that followed by reading credible articles.
