<note>Social Media especially Instagram is commonly popular and widely used by teens or students. In terms of Industry, Instagram is dominated by Media, Fashion and Beauty. There is a community on Instagram called Studygrammers which is categorized in Education industry but they are far from being as popular as the dominating industries. However, Studygrammer @emmastudiess has managed to have almost a half million of followers on Instagram making her popular among this community, especially students. This study is using Qualitative methodology and aims to find out the reception of students towards the representation of Studygrammer @emmastudiess on Instagram using Reception Analysis and Representation theory. Based on Representation theory, most students are interested in @emmastudiess photos, captions and graphics. Based on Reception Analysis theory, these students are grouped into 3 positions: Dominant-Hegemony, Negotiated and Oppositional. The results show that the students as informants are all in Negotiated position. All the students have dominantly accepted the message that they recept from @emmastudiess. However, there are some exceptions from their sides and it’s called the Negotiated position. As for the representation of Studygrammer @emmastudiess, researcher finds out that the representation is classified as the Constructionist Approach category. This concludes that, in this research, none of the students are either in Dominant-Hegemony or Oppositional position.
