Increase the Readership of Ministry Website
Many Indonesian have negative perception towards the government. A lot of them questioned the government performance to increase the welfare of people. The authorassumed that such perception occurred because the government does not conduct an effective communication to the people. Official website of the ministries is one of the main communication channels. Sadly, it is bland and boring. It does not deliver any message that could increase people’s curiosity to find out more about the ministry performance and achievement. In order to resolve this issue, the authoroffered strategic marketing communication plan to increase readership. Among plenty of ministries available, the authorchose the Coordinating Ministry of Marine Affairs. Due to, this ministry has the lowest average duration per visit compared to others. In the making of the strategy, the authoruses IMC -Zero Based Planning as a framework. It begins by identifying the target audience, analyzing SWOT, decide the marketing communication objective, develop strategy and tactics, define budgeting, and evaluation effectivity
