The Decision Making Process Analysis Of The Visually Impaired People On Their Purchase Of Toiletry Products (Case Study Of Bartemeus Orphanage North Sulawesi)
From the previous studies the researcher sees the possible differences for the dicision making process in the marketplace between the blind and the visually impaired and those without the condition especially considering the fact that those who receives visual cues may perceive the cues differently.Hence the aouthor airms to know about each stage of decision making process of their purchase and narrowed the study into particular purchase of toiletry products -- the most common purchase s made by the members of the orphanage according to the preliminar y interview. The research methodology is case study done in qualitative approach. The data is obtained through interview and observation . The result fr om the analysis is that the most distinguishing part of the decision making stages in the blind and visually impaired informants is taking place in the second to fourth stage ( information search, evaluation of alte rnatives, and purchase decision). The ii main concerns of the visual impaired groups in the decision making process are about the price, smell, product quality and suitability, recommendation from others and per sonal experience with the brand.
