The state of Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing an unending conflict since the partition of the Indian Subcontinent in 1947. For decades, India and Pakistan have been fighting over sovereignty in the beautiful valley. As tension continues between the two nuclear-powered states, Kashmir conflict has become one of the world oldest unresolved conflict, turning the region into one of the world heavily militarized zone. The research methodology used in this research is qualitative and Neorealism theory will be used in order to analyze the behavior and interest of every nations involved in this issue and Geostrategy as supporting concept. There has been some factors that play into the escalation of tension such as ethno-religious conflict, foreign intervention, as well as fight over water resource. The conflicts also has posed a serious threat over the security stability in South Asia, as it continues to deteriorate relations between India, Pakistan, and their neighboring states. Dialogue should be maintained as diplomatic tools, although another elements could also play in the development and the dynamics of security in South Asia.
